A young woman obsessed with romance novels slips out of a psychiatric institution to find 'the perfect man.' She takes a job as a nanny with an amiable doctor in the hope of seducing him, but the doctor's clever daughter has figured out the plan and must be eliminated, together with all of the others who would thwart the plan to marry this perfect husband.
