Hannah (Henrietta Crosman) is an Arkansas mother whose jealous love for her son (Norman Foster) results in his death in World War I after she pushes him into being drafted. Years later, the embittered Hannah gets a chance at redemption when she's offered a place on a government-sponsored voyage of bereaved mothers to Europe to visit their sons' graves.
