Bobby Meyers is a young entertainment lawyer who has charted a meteoric course, rising through the biggest law firm in Toronto. He is the golden boy and everything has gone his way. Smart, handsome, confident and wealthy, he is now growing bored and looking for a real challenge. So, what does Bobby do? Bobby buys the rights to a classic Canadian novel, a young girl's touching coming of age story in rural Prince Edward Island. Many have tried to get the rights to the novel and all have failed. But, as usual, Bobby succeeds. He charms the author and secures the film rights and he is off to the races. He is going to turn Lantern Moon into a film that is an artistic, critical and financial victory.
